Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 2026
BeeSave Web Clipper is a browser extension designed with privacy in mind. We take user data protection seriously and keep all of your content on your own device.
Your Content
BeeSave does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal content. All text
snippets, timestamps, and source URLs are saved locally within your
browser using the chrome.storage API and IndexedDB. Your clips and the
web addresses you save are never sent to any server.
Anonymous Usage Analytics
To understand how the extension is used and where to improve it, BeeSave sends anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to Google Analytics 4. We only record that an action happened — for example: the popup was opened, a clip was added, an export to TXT or PDF was made, or an undo/merge/copy action occurred — together with the extension version and interface language.
This data cannot identify you and contains no clip text, no page content, and no URLs you visit or save. A random anonymous identifier is stored locally to avoid counting the same installation twice. We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or any third-party ad networks.
You can turn this off at any time: open the extension, go to Settings → “Send anonymous usage statistics” and disable it.
Local Storage
All your saved notes are stored locally and remain under your full control. You can view, edit, delete, or export them at any time directly from the extension.
Third-Party Access
We do not sell or share your personal content with third parties. The only third-party service used is Google Analytics, and solely for the anonymous usage statistics described above — never your clips, content, or browsing history.
Changes
If the privacy policy ever changes, updates will be reflected here. The extension will remain fully usable without requiring account registration or external syncing.
